Need help with what timing to run with my cam....

    ok im running a comp cams offroad cam, part number CCA-12-235-2 Duration@ .50" Intake 210 degrees 218 degrees Lift .447" .462" this is copied straight out of summit catalog so if you need more info i can tell you, im running a stock Rochester Quadra Puke.......

    12 degrees initial, 35 deg. by 2600 rpm... but seriously you need to find out what the engine likes. Start by getting the jetting correct and then play with the timing curve /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

    yea im trying to learn how to tune my carb on my own, i got no tach right now, i have it at 14 right now and it seems to be ok, it was kinda dogging when i had it 12
