I have a 89 K5 that I rolled. I'm looking at a 82 K5right now. This might be sound stupid, but I need to know, will my transmission from my 89 fit into a 82.

Yes. That's the wonderful thing about Chebbies! Damn near everything they ever made is modular. I've got a '75 K5 with an '87 Corvette engine, tranny and t-case from an '80 1-ton GMC and axles from a '74 3/4-ton GMC. It all bolted together with ease.

Are you parting out the 89? If so what color is the interior?
