OK guys, need your help getting info on my Dads motorcycle, I might pick it up from him would be kind of cool to pass down to my Son as well.

It is a 1967 Sears 250, yes you read right, it was purchased from Sears. :doah: Don't know if it was really an AMF made bike or what but can't seem to find any info on it, kind of looks like a Honda style from same year?

I asked my Dad to send me some pics, but may be a while, I remember this bike from my childhood many moons ago.

Sears sold Austrian made Puch 2-strokes, they sold under the name Sears Allstate. Sears also sold some Vespa and Gileria models IIRC. My dad used to have one when I was like 7 or 8, but I think he sold it in the late 70's.
In Europe they sold the same bike under the Puch name. Concetrate your searches there, I'm sure I saw a few Puch forums out there.

Haha, if memory serves me correct, that's it, I swallowed my first bug on that bike when I was like 10-12 and took it for a ride one day. Wonder if I should visit my Dad in Wisconsin and bring it back with me for old times sake?

    x2!

The ones I recall from aroung '60-'61 were maroon. Some guys in high school had them in different displacements and they were all the same color.

my dad was following us on his XL500 to my aunts house to ride
we drove by a bee field, and he got a ton in his open faced moto-X helmet,
i was watching in the rearview, he started to swerve and pulled off the side of the road
I have never in my life seen anybody take a helmet off so fast:D :haha:

Haven't seen him since highschool................think I might go by where his parents had a furniture factory/sales. By the way, that's the first motorcycle I ever rode. Too kool!
