Hey. I own a 1992 K1500 and yes I know Im out of the league o Blazers but I need some info. The tranny (700R-4 non elecrtric) seems a little sluggish. I was wondering why guys perfer you not put a shift improver kit on these trannys? If I did install one would it help with its problem of being sluggish? Also whats the best shift improver kit out there cause Im not going to go the half ass way around if I do it. Any info would help. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by a "sluggish" tranny........Why do you think it's a tranny problem? How does it shift? Give us a bit more info and we'll try to help out a bit more..................

I use a full load of B&M Trick Shift fluid. Seems to tighten up a little bit, but expensive.

just checked my k5's gear ratio, and it had 3.08's. it think it's pretty common in that era (700r4's) so you might want to check it out.
