my 81 jimmy is stock. i have noticed w/the np208 transfer case, that it hangs pretty far down. so when i go through some pretty big ruts, it always hits and when i climb a hill, on top, it hits. i know i could get bigger tires, but what else could i do? is there someway i could turn it and still have it lined up? i am wanting to keep the 208: one, cause i already have it; two, i like the low 4wd and is really low w/the granny gear of the sm465 trans. any ideas, PLEASE. thanks, joe

Time for an 8" lift and 38s. Only suspension lift and bigger tires will get you more ground clearance there.

No, a stock t-case is not, "clockable" although it would be nice.

I got 33" bfg's on my 84 and the 85 is stock with 31" tires. The 84 may have a lift I cant tell but it sure sits higher and the tires never rub.
