Need pics of cracked or broken engine crossmembers

    Like the title says, I need a good picture of an actual cracked engine crossmember. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    I've got my old cracked one out of the truck, I might be able to get a picture of it tomorrow, if the snow melts lol.

    I have my engine out and can get you a pic today. It has cracked 3 times now and has been repaired twice. I will be replacing it with a homebrew crossmember this time.

    Any of the ones you replaced it with the "later" reinforced ones?

    I never replaced it. I just welded it up. I knew that welding it would cause it to crack again but at the time it was the easiest way to repair it without any down time.

    Oops, pretty obvious re-reading your post, sorry.

    From what I've seen so far, the newer design is much better.

    I have been slow at getting one as well. I have my rig covered with 3 different tarps and 8,000 straps to hold them on. Any pics I can get will probably be to dark to see.
