Most 4x4 clubs around here require a CB for communication. I have never used or talked on one. First I need to buy one though but I am not sure which one or what features I need. All I would be using it for is for the trail. Any suggestions? TIA!

[/ QUOTE ] Under Member Discounts you will find Bigfoot radio repair. Lew is a friend. He carries both new and used radios. If you go new, look into a basic Ranger Or you can email Lew about a used radio. Remember to mention the 10% discount for CK5 members. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif [IMG]

A Cobra 19 is fairly cheap and user friendly. About $30-50 new. It will do the job that you require. Range upto 3 miles, more then enough for wheeling. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Alot of the "Range" has too do with what antenna you choose. I personally like the 102" Stainless Steel whip, and the K40.

I have a good used Cobra 148GTL that I would sell for $100.00 shipped. This radio has upper and lower sideband as well as the normal 40 channels.
