need some help fast

    for the life of me I cant get the knob off my T-Case shifter how do you get that darn thing off? I have a stock 90 K5

    Mine just unscrews off the rod. But I have an 84 with an NP208.

    Put an open end wrench on it and bang it with a rubber mallot. That should jar it loose.

    Mine has a jam nut under the knob. If you loosen that first the knob will unscrew easer. Mine has a 205 but check under yours it might be assembeled the same. Jim.

    You could also heat it up with a hairdryer for a while and then(with gloves on) spin it off........

    If it's like mine (NP-241), you might need to get a pair of vise-grips and clamp on REAL tight to the base of the shifter knob. Sounds like the insert has come loose. You might even be able to just pull up real hard and get the knob off and leave the little bolt.
