If you own/have access to a go-kart, could I have you find out the following for me.

    1) Sprocket size (diameter) on both axle and engine
    2) Tire size on rear
    3) Engine size (hp)
    4) Approximate top-end speed and your opinion on the low-end power

    Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You can get sprocket sizes in all sizes.. they go buy tooth count.. The one I used the most on a 1/8 mile oval was 12 tooth on the cluth and 62 or 63 on the axle.It depended on the track. We raced at about 35 mph.. I swapped mine and went to a 56 tooth on the axle and had my wife follow me in a car and hit 80 MPH..We used a 9 inch tire on the right and a 8 inch tire on the left.. Made it turn. We also used 10hp tecumsha (sp) They where made only for racing. They came from the factory with bellit rods..
