How would this differ from any other t-case crossmember? I have one out of a 77 blazer that had a th350 and 203.

so would this work for a 91 K5? ( 700 R4 w/ NP 241C ) - if so then sure, Im sorry for lacking knowledge here, but I stumbled on this forum tonight and I am absolutely grateful that Iv'e found it - I just might get my baby back on the road after all

as far as an offer, well - if I say to little then I might piss you off, too much then its a blow to me, how much do these things go for, I'm trying everything in the world here so as I dont have to wind up fabricating all these parts, theres no sense in re-inventing the wheel

Those cross members are completely different. You need a cross member from a 208 or a 241 transfer case. I have one here from a 1985 208, with the skid plate and also one from an 88 208, I believe they are both the same. I drive a 91 suburban with the same driveline as yours so I will confirm that they are the same. They are in good shape. How does $65 to your door, blasted and painted sound?
    Let me know,
    Mike

Just so you and everybody else will know for future reference, there are different types of crossmembers.

'73-'84 are all the "flat" members which use the "tall" adaptors for the tranny and t-case.

'85 and '86 are the "double hump" members.
'87 up to '91 are also "double hump" members, but they are a little different than the '85 and '86. The only difference between these two are the areas on the crossmembers where the skid plates bolt to. An '85 skid plate will not bolt onto an '91 crossmember, and vice versa.

Since you have a '91, you CAN use the '85 and '86 members, but you will need a skid plate from those years, too.

Just don't go with any crossmember older than '85 and you will be just fine.

Only use the pre-'85 crossmember if you plan to do a tranny/t-case swap and it has the "tall" adaptor. [IMG]
