Well, I may be able to afford to do something to my truck when I get home. It's an 83' with a stock 350. I was thinking either headers and dual exhaust or fuel injection from http://www.customefis.com/ . I'm basically looking for more power and efficiency. What else could I do? I don't want to spend more than a grand. Thanks for any input.

Dual exhaust sounds good... maybe you can save a few bucks and get some ram's horn manifolds instead of headers.

My '91 crewcab had TBI and I wasn't impressed with it. Of course I never had problems with running at steep angles, but there wasn't any fuel savings that I could tell over a carbureted rig (never better that 10mpg).

Might be better off with a nice new carburetor and MSD ignition.
