since this is getting to be a big issue with me..might as well start a thread..

ill take input, ideas and even bad tips and tricks..

right across from my living room, some tenants got a damn small yippy dog, theya re gone all day, and I have yet to see the dog go indide. anytime anything moves the dog barks..

why the hell get a damn dog if you dont care for it..

options in no order that are on my mind.

-remove dog, post on craigslist and give it away
    -set it freeeeeeee...
-poison..bad bad bad, but it could save the rest of the world from hearing it
-call apartment management, theya re not real effective thus far
    -leave nasty notes
    -leave more nasty notes
-kink the guys ass when the dog wakes me up at 3 am "not likely"

    hmm

You can build something that will emit high frequency audio at an uncomfortable level for the dog. Turn it on when he barks, turn it off when he doesn't. He'll get the hint...
I can't find it on line, but there's a book called "Electronic Projects for the Evil Genius" that will show you how to build it. If you're into that, go to Barnes and Noble and look on the shelf for the one with that project, there are a few versions of the book.

Oh yeah, you can buy something like that at a pet store, too.

Seriously go talk to the owner of the dog and let them know the problem. Sometimes all people need is a wake up call cause they're to f'n stupid to realize that what they do effects other people......

Be neighborly first. Give them a chance to correct the action. Do to them what you would want done to you if the situation was reversed.

Some people are ignorant how annoying their freaking little yippie dogs are. My in-laws had a little yippie piece of crap dog - more like a barking rat. I hate those small barking little ass rat dogs.

The best thing i have found to do about anoying neighbors dogs is to set them free and call animal control and report a obnoxious dog running loose.
Eventually the dog owner gets tired of paying fines and bailing the dog out of the pound and does something about it.
I have aslo had pretty good results with throwing rocks at their house when the dog barks and they are home. just be careful to not bust a window or hit their car. The roof or a metal garage door is a good target. And it usually drives the stupid dog nuts enough to get the owners to take it inside.

No doubt! Just pull out the .374 and that rat dog is no longer a problem! :D

Actually, being on the other side (we have a german shepard guard dog on the yard, 5 acre acreage), a civil call goes a lot further than doing something to someone's dog...

get one of those ultra-sonic "dog zappers". Every time he barks, press the button. They will quit before long.

be glad you don't live next to me... my "yippy dogs" bark at everything in sight too. :thumb:
