The remote turn on for you amp will not supply enough power to the neon for it to work properly... Are you just wanting to light up a single neon stick when you turn the amp on or are you talking about undercar neon?

You need to get a relay and run it like so

    Pole:

    87 positive output to neon
    87a not used
    30 positive fused from battery
    86 ground
85 connect to remote wire on amp

Then just ground the neon bar ;-) Let me know if you need anymore help. You can find a relay at radio shack or any car audio shop for about 1.50
