neutral on transfer case?

    what is the neutral on the transfer case used for. im not sure /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.Thanks for any help provided.

    I think it's for when you use the PTO (power take off). You remove a little cover on your transfer case and gain access to a gear where you can attach a winch or the pump for a snowplow, water pump (military) or maybe a corn grinder /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    its good when you blow a u-joint cause it stops the shafts from spinning and doing damage

    use caution flat towing in N
    shafts spinning and gears not could equal burned bearings

    Yeah, in the owners manual they tell ya to stop every 200 miles and drive with the t-case in gear for a mile or so, to lube everything back up. Like that's gonna happen! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
