Ive pulled the tranny/tc 4 times now by myself, have been through 5 torque converters and just got done installing a new flexplate. it all started like this....

i lost a tranny at the badlands. the torque converter went out.well, i ended up swapping in a few torque converters and when i pulled it this last time, i know somethin else was wrong. well, i figured out the flexplate was really cracked. so, i put on a new one. then since the torque converter is still under warranty, i had em order a new one, again. this is like the 4 time for them. well the idiots ordered a th350 lockup. so since i hadda have a way to get to school, i just threw the old torque converter back up in there. and i thought it was good, but ends up that it makes a weird ass noise at high rpms. this is just all gettin to me. i think ill just drive with the noise till i get a chance to pull all this stuff out again. sorry, hadda vent

You really need to clean out/rebuild the tranny everytime a torque converter goes bad or you will be swapping them out every week or two! Do it right once and save yourself a lot of work.
