Go into safe mode to delete it. When I had a bunch of spyware and viruses on my PC I couldn't delete the majority of them on the normal log on. I had to use the safe mode (so nothing is accessing the file) to delete it.
Do you have spyware and virus protection?

To get into safe mode restart your computer. And as soon as everything powers off, then back on. Hit F8 key on the top of the keyboard a few times. Then it will go into set up screen and use arrows to go into safemode.
Safemode is used for the PC fixers, and by who ever else needs to access something without the worry of any program running or anything.

Do you have the newest version? We had norton 2003 and kept updating the subscription. The computer guy we talked to told us that doesn't help against new viruses or protect against them. We eneded up buying norton 2005 a few months before 2006 came out.

Get your downloads off the majorgeeks.com website. They are the best. I highly recommend Spywareblaster to accompany Spybot search & destroy.

    1. Spywareblaster is a real time search and destroy program, it prevents that crap from ever getting into your system.

    2. Spybot is superb for getting rid of what's already there.

    3. Adaware SE Personal Edition takes care of the rest.

These programs will work with Norton antivirus although Spybot will take place of your Norton firewall.

Redirectors are a real pain to find and remove. Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE are a good start. Both can be gotten of Downloads.com.

    Allright try this: Ccleaner.

It's free and cleans up a lot of old hidden file extensions, et. I use it daily. Might help you.
