I just paid $1.89/gallon for the cheap stuff for the Blazer, $40 for a fill up /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif Still isn't as bad (yet) as last summer when at the beach we paid $2.05/gallon and it cost us almost $100 to fill up the Blazer and Camaro to come back.

Thank god the Blazer isn't my reliable driver and we just got a 4 cylinder Galant /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

It's about $1.85 for diesel here. Gas is $2.36 for the cheap crap. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Sure am glad I swapped that 6.2 in...I fill up once every two weeks and even then it only takes about 22-24 gallons.

Geez, i'm only 25 years old, and I started driving at 16 it was only like .86 a gallon. I'm sure a few of the old timers drove in the days when it was a quarter a gallon.....No names mentioned

I can remember $.70 a gallon. My father in '68 bought a '68 Coronet RT with a 440 Six Pack and 4 in the floor. His monthly fuel cost him less than $15.

I would love to see $3 gas! Here on the central coast of CA we are paying $3.50, down from $4.00. What is really galling is that there is a Conoco/Phillips refinery within sight of my house, oil wells up every canyon into the mountains, and oil rigs offshore from here to L.A. If you guys really want to see prices and taxes go through the roof, vote in liberal, enviro tree huggers like we have in California.

P.S. I'm 61, I remember when I first started driving in 1962, gas was $0.19/gal. and you could take a date to McDonalds and both eat for $1.00. A half tank of gas and a meal for two for $2.00. Gas and a*s were both affordable.

Cost me ~$75 to fill my blazer
