New 20\" Beadlocks and Michelin Xls mounted!!

Finally got the Staz Works beadlocks mounted on the 12.5R20 Michelin XLs. Here are a couple of pics of them mounted on my K5. Didn't have time this weekend to get any action shots, but will soon as I can get away. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Very nice! Those things look awesome! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
How do they ride on the road? Did you do anything to balance them?
How long did it take to mount the tires on the wheels?
    Any complaints yet?
    - Sorry for all the questions

I took them for a test drive the first night I han them mounted up, which was Friday night, had about 15psi in them. They were unstable and squishy feeling. That was at 11:00 pm that night, so I aired them up the next day to 30psi and they ride like a set of street tires except they are loud. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif They are even louder than my 38.5 SXs were, but not extremely louder. I didn't do anything to balance them at all and I have had them up to about 55mph and there is no vibration or shimmy. It took me about an hour and halft per tire and wheel to get them mounted, there are 48 bolts and nuts per wheel. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Really hadn't had them long enough to have any compliants other than they are some heavy muthers, around 180 lbs each. Kinda a pain in the arse to mount on the K5. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So far I really love them, the looks and ride. I drove it to Lowe's yesterday to pick up a door. While I was waiting for the guy to bring the door up front that I had ordered, almost everyone that walked by the K5 stopped and looked at the tires and wheels. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Any more questions just ask.

Don't really think there is a written law saying beadlocks are illegal, there was a post in the Texas Forum the other week. I really don't plan on this being my daily driver anymore, but I still want to keep it inspected and tagged so I can drive it on the weekends. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Staz Works is the guy who builds all the 20" rims for USA6x6. You might know him as JOHNS351C over on the PBB. The wheels were 275.00 each plus the freight.

Thanks for the compliments guys. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

They are just a shy short of 41" tall. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Plan on going to local ORV park later this month and I will see how they do offroad then. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The tires were 75.00 each from a surplus dealer in Texarkana. Two were brand new never been mounted and the other two measured too new specs but had been mounted before. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
