You have an excellent taste in firearms :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Bought a .40 Compact when they first came out, and 30k rounds later I still can't shoot it enough. I have 3k rounds loaded and ready to go.... hope to use them all this summer. :D

    1st 10 rds through the 45

    11-20

[IMG] (modified grip means I changed the way I was holding the gun)

From the day after 100rds (I tape my other targets over this one, shoot 5 to 10 at the others and change out the little sheets, I tape them right over the center though...)

Shoots great, HK's are stilla little big for my hand (reaching the trigger) thus the left of center. This 45 doesn't feel like it has alot of kick, not as much as the 40 compact but a little more than the 9mm fullsize. Overall I really like it!

On your .40- what is your trigger pull like? First "stage" for lack of better word, seems a little long on mine.

yeah its long, I'm thinking of converting it to DAO and reducing the pull need to talk to an HK armorer though...

I put a 3lb hammer spring in my fullsize 9mm and its nice! planning on doing the same with the 45 most likely. Dont know of one for the compacts though...

How many lbs are the stock springs? You change the spring yourself or take it in? That sounds like something I should look into.

Never mind just reread your post. I have been told I can't do anything to lighten the pull or have work done on the trigger. Does that match what you have found out?

yeah the compacts I've not heard any ways of changing the trigger pull other than the lighter LEO DAO setup, the fullsizes there are a couple aftermarket springs and factory match trigger kits
