The cam is installed, and the engine is breaking in when - what happens? The freaking radiator finally popped a hole in this weak spot its had for some time, and sprays anti-freeze all on the drivers fender well! Oh well... there goes another $250!

But she does sound sweet! And the idle is rock solid, not lopey at all like the old cam! I can't wait to get to drive it again! I will have to complete the cam break-in once I have a new radiator installed...

I will let you guys know how it runs once I get her out on the road again! By the sound of things, its going to run excellent! It sounds so tame now! [IMG] FYI for all that didn't see my previous posts - my engine should now make 480ftlbs and 420HP!!!!! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG] (can you tell I'm excited??!!!!!)

Sweet advice on the radiator! I didn't even think of that! I have to give 'em a ring...[IMG]

Wes - I left the Holley on it for now to do the break in. I didn't want to add another variable into the whole "cam break in process" by having to be concerned if the QJET was going to work OK or not... but it will be installed before winter. Another problem I ran into was that I can't find a SPREADBORE to SQUAREBORE adaptor at any of the parts stores by me - everybody has the opposite type, but not what I'm looking for. So I bought the reverse adaptor, and will machine it to work either way... plus the castings are so rough anyhow, I figured I would port out the adaptor some too! [IMG][IMG]
