If they fix that Choo Choo grill. Then I'll take two! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I like how they kept the lines of the original car more or less. Reminds my of my '71 SS Chevelle.

Sweet but it can't be the new Chevelle until I can go to my local Chevrolet dealership and finance it , complete with GM warranty and all. Then it could be counted with production totals and all , and be eligible for racing as a Chevrolet branded car /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

That thing is horrible. I think they're just stretching a little bit to far the whole phase of bringing back old cars. Those rims suck.

So much potential, but so ugly... like the back, it looks sweet (well, with a different bumper I have to say it would). But then you turn to the side, and it's ugly. Then you continue to the front, which is really ugly... The inside would be nice if the color wasn't that red. That just, well I can't say what I think it looks like.

It is alittle off looking, but a 600hp 2004 Chevelle that's trying too look like a 1970 SS is kinda cool im my honest opinion.

don't like it but its certainly a step in the right direction as far as someone(sadly not GM) seeing the marketplace for high performance cars like that.

The front end looks like some cheap plastic body kit some 14 year old came up with...just like the ricer body kits.

    that's my opinion.

As for the 600 hp...I'll believe it when I see it, and even if it makes 600 hp it won't be sold at any GM dealer so it's value in my eyes just isn't there.

Might as well be a Bricklin or some other pathetic kit car.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't really care for the front either. But for a 2004, I guess I could live with it.

    I'd agree with you.
I owned a 70 SS 396 Chevelle, a 71 W/327 4 dueces and a 72 Chevelle and although some of the designs of this car makes it look fat in the back and the front bumper is too much, I can see why they did it. It's all about ground effects at high speed. My Chevelles would scay the _hit out of you at over 100 mph and I'll bet this one can handle it just fine.
If I could afford a car like that, I think you could do a custom paint job that would black out some of the ground effects so it would look more like the older ones. It would take quite a bit more to modify the front end to look right and still keep the ground effects though.
Overall, I think it's good that they are trying.
