any objection to "Northeast Offroaders"? i like the name, and i also did a search, and found no other clubs by that name. who's up for it? i am thinking about having decals made up, and maybe t-shirts. ill sell these at cost, and for now that will be optional. i want the club to be free or as cheap as possible for members. all i care about is having any cost(if there is any) covered. My goal is to have a club that is full of friends, new and old, and also represent any rights and or privelages we have as off highway drivers. I am NOT a political activist, and do not want to be known as one. i will stand up for my rights however. I also want to find wheeling spots, and have club events, such as trail ride days, car shows and cruises. maybe group discounts on parts and event entry fees.
    ANY ONE WITH ME????

Did anyone read the latest editorial in either Peterson's or Four Wheeler about the term "offroad", etc.....?

It was making an interesting point about the perception of our sport, and how when we use terms like "offroad"...it implies that we are going "off trail" and doing other non-environmentally polite things....

I'm in /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif! I would also like to offer my skills to help out the club (and other interested parties.) I am an RF specialist. Why should you give a Darn?? In basic terms that means that I can use a tool called a Network Analizer to match CB antennas WAY beyond any normal meter. I will provide this matching to anyone who wants it for free because I HATE crappy CB reception in the trail. I know its not much but if we all can do a little...... who knows??

I've been waiting to find a club over here. Got my 74 blazer about 2 months ago and it is gettin close to being ready to go on the road. Right now it still doesn't really leave the driveway but i've already got my cb hooked up and am planning all the things i will do with that truck. As soon as we have warm weather it will be getting a camo paint job. And hopefully soon i can get get rid of the lift blocks and get it lifted right and a little higher to clear the 35's i have under it.

On the topic of providing cb help, i have done many installs and do alot of custom cb work (just built one with a clear top cover and the inside is all lit up blue and red, i will gladly help with installs and such.

Sounds great. I am in. I should be moving further north in about a year, so that will be even better. Let me know what I can do to help.

    Profile has been updated
anyways i am from Long Island (ny)
and i definately plan to get rid of the blocks do u think the shackle flip alone will net me enough lift to clear my 35's (i do plan on a little fender trimming, i like how they look trimmed) how much lift will the flip give me (so i know how much to go up in the front, was thinking of doing longer shackles in the front) i really need a lot of advice here because i don't haev that much knowledge on this.
    thanks to all in advance

Ok, the site is ready, everyone feel free to join the site. If everything goes well, I will hopefully build a true North East Offroaders site, but for now this will do. I will create managers as time goes on. The site has a lot of cool features that everyone can utilize. I will be upgrading the storage space tonight so people can upload some images of there junk /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Here is the link.
