Last week I got an 1990 GMC Suburban with 6.2L diesel and 194,000 miles. So far I changed all glow plugs, with the set I got from kennedydiesel.com, and all filters. I have no problem starting the truck when cold or hot. When I got the truck there was a lot of extra parts in the back and in one of the boxes I found two brand new ARB Safari Snorkels. There are holes in both fender and from the looks of it, the previous owner was trying to install them. I don't know why he didn't finish the installation, but now I got the truck and I am not sure if snorkels are a good idea. Should I install them or will they restrick the airflow? Thanks

Would one be enough, or do I need both of them? As I'm looking through these boxes, it looks like there are some parts missing. I think I'm missing few brackets and I have no instructions.

Well I would definitely put both in, the more air you get in the better, as for the missing parts, it's all about your skills.
Personnaly I don't know how it feels like being helpless, I always find a way.

Hey, I'm not helpless. I'm just a stupid Polak with no skills. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I figured out why the previous owner didn't install the snorkels. He cut the holes in both fenders in the wrong spot /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif I found the missing parts in a different box. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
