Just got the K-5 back after they installed the new exhaust. Dual exhaust from headers,H-pipe, Dual flowmaster 50's Clamps and hangers. Looks great nice and high out of the way!!!

yea, the guy that did my exhaust did an extremely good job bending it in, and tucking it out of the way... makes things quite a bit nicer doesn't it... [IMG]

For the record . . . does it sound aggressive as in other cars can hear you coming or is that what the "40" is for? I'm trying to piece it all together so when I get my K5 I'l be ready to rock and roll!

I don't know about his, but you can definately here mine coming down the road... I need to sound proof the interio a bit before I decide if I'm going to keep the 40's or not...

40's kick ass! They're not too obnoxious if you have a full system. I've had both the 40's and 50's, and there isn't too much difference...

One thing that will increase the noise is boom tubes, I had the 24" long 3 1/2" boom tubes with my 50's...fairly loud. Now I have 40's and just regular tailpipes and its quieter at idle but a little louder when I get on it.

hey, I did have him put boom tubes on... how much difference did it make? if it is a fairly large difference then I think I will have them removed...

Like I said with the boom tubes and 50's my idle was louder than 40's and no boom tubes...soon to be rectified. I like it loud.

Its a 24" long piece of tubing that starts out at 2 1/2" and is 3 1/2" to 4" at the tip...it tends to amplify things just a touch[IMG] Basically a weld on tip. That was about the only chrome on my truck.

My 50's you can hear when you get on it. But i drove with the windows down and was able to talk on the cell phone... Didn't want the 40's due to my daughter..
