I need to rebuild my front lower shock mounts and was wondering if anybody has done this? Currently one mount is broken and the other one has already been welded back together once. At this point I think it's better to cut the current ones off and start over. It's a 10 bolt axle, on a 87 truck the had the quad shocks. I'm currently putting a 4 inch lift and 9012's on it. Can you buy the stock parts from a dealer, are there heavy duty aftermarket parts, or do you have to build you own custom?

    Thanks
    Mike

Try going to www.conferr.com. They sell the front shock mounts. They seem to be a very nice piece. I have the same problem and will be buying them also. Goodluck

I just went to conferrs web page and got the part # for you, it is 83004. Those are the weld-on lower shock mounts

Thanks, now I just need to get a welder. I was reading that other thread about the different types and got really jazzed about getting one.
