what are your thoughts of using a gas cap like this ...I think it could look kewl for us posers. the reason i though of it is because i have fender flares and had to cut the bottom corner of my gas filler dorr off. I though that when I start doing body work i could fill in that door and replace it with this [IMG]

I kinda like it, I've thought about putting one like that on my Blazer just because my 78 has no gas door (just the old-school gas cap) and I've whacked/broken my gas cap a few times cuz it sticks out from the body...

i like it, if gas dribbles on it its no biggie, and a stock painted door is painted... paint sucks, it chips, flakes, looks like chit after a while. I say go for it.

My plow truck is rusted out bad enough that the gas tank door wont close fully or open all the way. I'm contemplating this mod when new fuel tank goes in cutting out that whole door area and replacing with a sheet of metal then putting in one of those doors.

Can you shoot me a price and part number, or where you got it or what it comes on? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Where's the guy with the Yellow 1st gen he done this, looks good too... BLING BLING FACTOR OF 6 [IMG]
