Soon enough im gettin dana 60's front and rear for free and needa know if i can turn 35's with dana 60's and a 307 thats mostly stock and also if yall know of any place where i could possibly find a rollbar to fit my truck please tell me /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

The 307 is probably original to your truck. '73 was the last year for 307s. Could be a 305 if it is really an '80s motor. 307 was an option in 1st gen Blazers.

Congrats and welcome! Please add more info to your "profile" so we know who and where you are!!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Gearing is going to be more important to driveability of your truck than the engine size. If those Dana60's have 4.10 gears, you'll be in good shape.....plenty of torque multiplication to move 35's and a heavy (relatively) truck.

Depending on what you plan on doing with the truck, you might also consider selling the rear Dana60 (maybe to a Jeep or Toyota guy?) and buying a GM 14BFF axle instead. It will be cheap and you can add a Detroit Locker to it cheaply also.... Believe it or not, the 14-Bolt is stronger than a Dana 60.

Anyway, there's plenty of help on this board. So just make yourself at home, and do a little reading on the message boards, and the archives. You'll be amazed at how much info is here.

Greg...
heres some info on the ZL-1 Engine that i found.
With 13.8:1 Compression and a .722" lift cam..... I don't think it's going to be a "crate pump gas street motor" /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
I'd still run it in my blazer though. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

The Trucks TV show just put one in a 1967 Pickup that they are building. Unfotunately its a lowered street truck and not a rock-stumping mud-slinger but looks pretty cool anyways.
