I have been busy but have not posted anything recently regarding my bumper project. I have cut most of the steel to the basic sizes and have started the fine grinding and plasma cutting. The college here has a plasma cutter that can cut 1/2" steel easily and can cut up to 1" thick. I also found out they have a steel cutter that uses 65 tons of cutting pressure that can litteraly cut 1/2" steel. I have been using both machines to cut the pieces for the center area where the receiver hitch will go. I will post more pics very soon and I plan to have the receiver hitch area welded together tomorrow. My siders are finished and look great. The final pics are on my web page. I also have the tire carrier parts cut out and ready to weld!

Sounds like it will be more fun making it! Or just bending/cutting/welding all day.

    Good luck and be careful!
