does anybody know how the 72's are different from the 69-71? or is this just an oversight on the seller's part?

I don't believe there is a difference on the 72 tops. There are single walled and double walled tops but even then I think the rear hatch is the same.
His reserve is $275.00.Seems fair, the aftermarket places want $400.00 for the ones they sell.I'd be interested to learn more about the back hatchs he's making.I'll e-mail him and ask.

Look at his other auctions and he has another one for a "buy now" at $250. So who's going to buy one and check it out? I'm curious if the glass and weather stripping will fit. Seems like a good deal.

I e-mailed him asking how his hatch stands up to a factory one.Questions like:does it have metal bracing at the same points the factory does(hinges, side locks,"T" handel area),strengh of the bottom edge(where it meets the tailgate).Questions like that.I havn't got a response yet.

The link above does not work for me. Error comes up with invalid number on ebay site. I might be interested in something like this if found to be equal quality to original. If you find anything out, please share. Thanks,

I was looking through your photo album and i was wondering how big of a difference in power the TPI setup made and how much more stopping power you got from the rear disks. I have drums front and rear w/ no brake booster and this is something im considering doing. Thanks alot.

TPI was a great mod.Great low end tourque, easy cold starts, nice clean burn, get better milage too(approx.50 miles extra to the tankfull.)I only have the 2 pics in tthe disc brake swap album as I'm still gathering parts for that install.I'll post when I do finish it.Thanks for the intrest though.

Check my web site for a couple of pix of my rear disc install and a how-to on how to do the swap. I'm working out a possibility of using a different power booster than the one I am using now. It seems to measure correctly, but would have to be installed inverted. If I can separate the front and rear halves and reinstall the front upside-down on the rear half, I can make a packaged that is considerably shorter than what I have now and probalby the OAL will be a little shorter than stock.

Braking distances went down just a little, but that was not due to the installation of the rear disc setup. It was due to better proportioning. The stock proportioning had too much rear bias and couldn't use the front brakes sufficiently. What I did gain was more repeatability of stopping from speed through less fade.
