I'm almost done collecting all the equipment that I will need for my stereo installation. I just wanted to show you all the progress "as it happens..." so you can see all the steps it takes to go from "idea" to "finished product"....there is a lot of fun stuff that happens in the middle, and if you've never watched someone do a stereo installation from start to finish, you can't really appreciate what is involved in doing it.

Here are the latest shots...for those of you who have visited the site before, just scroll to the bottom for the new stuff:

    Dan,

Based on my current calculations, the stereo will be completed in about 6 trillion more hours! [IMG]

It is taking a REALLY long time to do it, but I am not making any compromises, or taking any shortcuts. I even went back and re-did some things that I just didn't completely like. It really is a labor of love. Today for the first time I was able to play some music through one of the subs in the enclosure I built just to check it out....so far it sounds pretty good, and I can tell that the ported enclosures were the right way to go.....there is PLENTY of output from even just one sub!

The total system power will be 1600 Watts....that means dual batteries, and a lot of extra work to handle all that load on my charging system. But hey.....at Hollister next year, nobody will have any trouble figuring out where my K5 is...!!! [IMG]

    Later,
