It's pwere by and International Turbo Deisel and supose to be sub $20k.
I think this is the one that has been trying to come to market for years. They were having a problem finding a company to supply engines. The last thing I heard was it was going to have a Ford V6 Gas motor. A few years ago one of the mags got a hold of one and was impressed because it had a solid front axle. Looks like they went IFS now.
I wonder how long before Land Rover sues them because it has a VERY strong resembelence to a Defender.

Looks like the ARO to me, too. All the ones that were going to be imported were IFS. First the prob was emmisions, then crash test. The diesel will get them through emmisions, but I wonder about the crash testing. Also every time they fixed one of the problems that popped up the price popped up too. At least its not another Honda.

I talked to the dealers thats going to be handling them here. He said they are expecting thier first shipment during the first quarter of 2003. Price should be under 20,000. 3/36 mile bumper to bumper and 10/100 power train warrenty. HE said there were no problems with DOT or the EPA. I should be getting some info from him soon.
    cheers, rugger
