My old 4 link thread was getting rather image intense and long so I started a new one to continue on with the bed stuff...

Are you gonna do something like bedsides on it? I think it would look cool if you put skins around the tubing and taper them to the rear like Watsons Jimmy. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Yep, just need to make the straps to secure it... The bed will step up and over it.

What kind of straps are you using on the gas tank ?

I have hardware store ratchet straps on mine for now, but I dont think theyll hold 200 pounds of fuel in a tip...

I had planned on a solid bar or two over it, but lets hear what you're going to pull out your ass (now in a second location) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'm using 3/16" x 1.25" steel bar bent to form a saddle under the tank then as they come up on each end bend a 90 into them and drill a hole. Then short straps on top that weld to the tubes and then run down the sides torwards the lower straps. Matching 90 degree bend and hole. Run a 2-3" bolt down through the holes and tighten the bolts to suck the top and bottom straps together. Going to use rubber bed liner sheeting stuff inbetween straps and tank to isolate it and it should hold it pretty snug. Same way it was from the factory but more sturdy.
