Hey I just got some pics up of my new tires for the K5 and my tow rig/daily driver.

The tires are 38x13x16 and they've been custom grooved by BigJ. In the pics, the truck is running a 4" Tuff Country EZ ride front lift and custom shackle flip rear. Lotso trimming and I haven't had it flexed out yet with the new tires.

Also working on a front bumper. Stay tuned for pics. Had to cut and straighten the front frame horns which took a few hours yesterday so I didn't get to my bumper.

And the tow rig. 2002 2500 Dodge Cummins 6 speed, QC, SWB, trailer tow, camper special, yadda yadda. I'm getting 19 mpg with it, and got 14mgp with les's blazer up on the trailer coming back into strong winds from amarillo. Love the thing. For the price there was no going wrong. Anyway, just thought I'd share some pics with yall. I'm going to work harder at detailed pics of proceedures in the future.

Looks killer with the bigger tires Bryan! Do you think the D44 will live with those?
I really like the custom grooving on the tires too! /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I'm hoping the D44 will live for a while. The front is still open too just for that reason. Saving my pennies for a 4.56 set of 1 ton axles...any day now.

You should live closer to Keith and I, we could go into business! Are the tires radials?

I'm not sure. I've never had a set of grooved tires. However, $300 is the going rate for a professional grooving iron. If you're only going to do a set or two here and there, most guys I know use this one: Much cheaper and not that bad to use.

I kept it simple on the options. They add up fast!

    2002 Dodge 2500
    Cummins H.O. with 6 speed
    2wd
SLT pkg, pwr windows and locks
    carpet floor, cruise, tilt
    cassette player
    Quad cab short bed
    trailer towing package
    camper special package
tan interior with 40/20/40 bench in cloth
    sliding back glass
    limited slip rearend, 3.55 ratio
set me back right at 27K bones, so I was happy. A lot less than anything else I was looking at. And I couldn't be more pleased with it either.

<font color="blue">That sounds like a comfortable ride! All the other options (except 4WD) are pretty much useless. Those Cummins motors are the best light truck deisels out there.
