    Greetings all!
I've been watching this list since Feb. and I finally decided to jump into the fray! (actually registered in March so I could find parts - then didn't post again). I suspect I'll be asking for your expert advise since my "rust bucket" is gonna need some attention real soon. Hopefully I'll be able to help someone else.

Rust hahaha. Imagine opening the door and walking foward till your knees hit the frame! Thats how much I had to cut out to get back to solid metal on my 75 :) Doors would close it was so bad. After a full year of cutting and welding it's back together http://www.coloradok5.com/erichummel.shtml

welcome dude. Just to let you know, my Blaze doesn't even have the rocker boxes b/c they rusted out so bad. Grim, your 75' definately got mine beat though, on the rust factor when it was bought orinally. Mine was rusted out pretty bad, but not as bad. But you bought yours for $1 and I bought mine for a WHOLE LOT more. But welcome aboard Behemoth.

Thanks for the hearty welcome guys (and gals)! Since I've been reading this list for a couple of months now I almost feel like I already know some of you.

Most of the rust (except for the nonexistent rockers) is on left quarter panel. It looks like the previous owner tried to slow it down with bondo or some other foreign matter. A huge hunk of the body looks as if it'll fall off - at least with a good jolt.

Has anyone replaced the seal between the top and the passenger cab? I get water in the truck when it rains real hard. I know the top is heavey as hell, so is there an easy way to do this without taking it all the way off?

When I was in High School it just about got to the point that every time I put gas in I had to mix up a batch of filler to patch another hole on Dad's '73!

    Love those tri-year Blazers!

Duct tape :) My 79 has a bad seal. Previuous owner had it painted and they didn't remove the top and managed to paint the seal to the cab. Got it flexed up wheeling and it tore. Found some body color Tape and chage it about every 3 months to keep the water out till I get around to restoring the old girl.
