my very good freind who so happens to have a garage /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif also has a New Process tranny in his garage. itsa 5spd with 25% overdrive. he had it in a school bus for years then he tore it out after it got t-boned and junked. he rebuilt the tranny and has it sittin in his garage. he wants to get rid of it for $400. it will bolt to my engine but i need an adapter for the t-case. does anyone know of a manufacturer that has a part for this? or do i need to fab one up myself? thanks for your input. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Is it the NV4500, or somethign bigger?

Advanced Adapters is about the only place I know with a large selection of those kind of parts, although there might be more out there.

    whoops

    that should be

    r 2 5
    | | |
    1 3 4

it is the only pattern that makes sense in a purpose built 5 speed case with OD

the ones with OD hanging out the back of a 4 speed case are the oddballs

ok, i got the numbers stamped on the side of the tranny.
first there is a tag that is screwed on that says 10-12-62, im guessing that is the manufacture date. then some numbers that are cast into the block,

Could it possibly be a Clark tranny? I've heard that a lot of older industrial trucks and school busses had them.
