Im not sure about the 241, but the 208 has a better low gear than the 205. (2.61compared to something like 1.96) The 205 has a fixed yoke instead of the slip yoke. Both have pros and cons. The 208 is a lightweight aluminum case and the 205 is a cast case(heavy!)

some 205's do have the slip yoke(all 80 models). all 205's are gear driven. the 208 and 241 are both chain driven. 205's are not bullet proof but can with stand a lot more abuse than the other 2. get a doubler and gear reduction problem is solved in the 205. the cheap way to go is a 208 since you already have the adapter you need. just get a junkyard 241 and a rebuild kit if you want the 241. it also depends on what your goals for your truck are and the type of wheeling you do!

no rock climbing, so the lower gear ratio is not much of an issue, is there an after market
source for cases to go with the raptor 700 tranny. really did not want to go with a boneyard
case, never really know what you are getting

    It needs a bigger motor.
