Looking for the year that GM went away from the 4L60E trans to the new version , ok here's the deal , I'm looking for a tahoe or yukon 4dr but am going to put a D60 , 14ff in it but need to know the last year that has a trans that I can swap my np241c w/slip yoke elim. onto so I can get the front output on the right side!! I know it's not a 99' because it has a 6 bolt flange on the back of it! OR any advice on a right output transfer that will bolt to that trans! thanks CC

<font color=blue>I think anything with a 4L60E will work because it's an electronic 700R. I think they still come with it (or at least up to the new body style) but I could be 100% wrong.

I thought so too but the one I looked at on the lot today was DEFINATELY not a 4L60E on a 99' I did some research and they had a 4L80E available!!what can I bolt on to that to get my right side output? one was m30 code the other M1 code, learn something new everyday, still need help with this dilemma! Re: gm techs HELP!!!

Hey scott !!how's the new baby!!Probably keeping the Jimmy ,but am considering selling to build a killer 98-99 tahoe with my new axles!!! The works res.shocks , nationals, new 37x12.5x17 bfg muds on 17x10 outbacks bumpers etc. Just having trouble finding out what years have the 4L60E so I can bolt a 241 to it , otherwise I will have to locate a F#@d dana 60 with the output on the left and I would have to get reverse rotation gears instead of the ones I've got!! p.i.t.a.!! my 241 would work sweet with a 4L60e!! It would give me the right side output , and a fixed yoke with the kit!!! Anyone Interested in a nice Jimmy???CC
