Ok, this latest Virus has somebody in our comunity's computer in it's grasp. I am getting reject that say I sent it and I am also recieving the virus from others.
I am so careful about this stuff it's not even funny. I NEVER down load e-mail into my comuter. I always read off line. I ran my virus programs this morning. I don't have it and if you get a e-mail from offroadk5 be very cautious. I didn't send it if it it was sent between 8:15am-6:30pm M-F. I cant get to my e-mail durring the day.

Twistedaxle.com is one of the e-mails being used. Twisted may not have it but somedoy that has their address in their book does.

This is a new Worm simular to Melissa. Get your virus program up todate. The title is "Hello or Hi" and it has a 30-37k attachement.

The new NETSKY and MYDOOM viruses mutate.

"This mass-mailing worm selects from a list of email subjects, message bodies, and attachment file names for its email messages. It spoofs the sender name of its messages so that they appear to have been sent by different users instead of the actual users on infected machines.

It can also propagate through the Kazaa peer-to-peer file-sharing network. " (TREND)

This is why it is difficult to completely control this new generation of virus worms.

"This worm also attempts to install backdoor components by opening a listening port 1080. It may be waiting for remote hackers to take control of the compromised machine. It is also able to open several ports ranging from 3000 to 5000, to connect to remote SMTP servers to send email. " (TREND-F)

Yeah, whoever got hit had my email too. I've gotten a couple of "rejections" bounced back at me, but it is from spoofing the return addy, not from my computer in reality. Like you, I am very cautious and have never been infected (at least not yet). I read all email in "text only mode" and never open attachments that I don't know about before hand.

Skynet would be the virus from the terminator senario ( the one the took control of all the machines world wide and took over) for those who haven seen T3 (your not missing much) U learn that "skynet" was actually a computer virus not specific computer like they once thought.
