New York K5\'s or Pa or Ohio

How many NY,PA and Ohio K5ers are here. I would like to have a K5 get together somewhere in western NY. Sort of like the AZ K5ers. Let me know who is out there and if you are interested. Bondo has offered to help with planning so let us know so we can get started. Looking foward to hearing from you all.

i willing to get together sometime in the fall in the catskill region, and i should be able to get one of my buddys and his blazer to tag along. my rig is stock and i cant afford any more damage so light trails are prefered.

Living in Western PA right now (New Castle), go to Erie all the time, but moving in a month back to Gods Country (Oregon), doubt I would have the time before then with all the move details, etc. Upstate NY is awsesome!!!

I'm all the way over in Pittsburgh, PA but I might be in on it. Just graduated from Pitt (Computer Engineering) and don't have a job yet, so everything's up in the air right now. Keep me posted.

Yeah, but in Boot camp now they are training Marines to walk on water, thereby alleviating the need for the Navy...hehehehehehehehe ooorahhhhh

And if the truth be known, the Marines were here first and are the oldest, November 10, 1775...Tun Tavern Philly, PA...

Re: New York K5\'s or Pa?

Hey NYC K5, where exactly are you going? I was planning on going down to Tuckerton or Wharton State Forest this summer. If you want somewhere close, try the trails behind the Sheraton Hotel in Mahwah. Take 17 north to Crossroads blvd then go around past the Sharp building. go straight up the road that goes towards the highway. If you go on the weekend, there will be tons of dirtbikes and quads there. They should be able to guide you in if you can't find it. It can be done with a stock YJ (i have pictures of that) so any blazer should be alright. Just watch out after rain, the mud can get deep in spots.

I'm near Rochester, NY (Blazerbob already knows this). I know a bunch of guys in the local club that go down to Allegany Forest quite often. They say the trails there are great and it's close to PA and OH. If someone makes the plans I'm game.

Re: New York K5\'s or Pa?

As Blazerbob said, I'd be glad to help with the planning. I'm not sure how far away I could really go with the way my summer looks, but we'll talk and see what we can do. I'm in Alfred, NY. We thought it would be really cool to get a bunch of us together like the AZ guys did.

    BONDO WILL FIX ANYTHING!!!

Re: New York K5\'s or Pa?

Oh yeah, the good old "the Marines are a part of the Navy" line. When I was on the boat, I would tell the sailors who said that "That's right, we are. We're the part of the Navy that works, and gets the job done. We're the BEST PART of the Navy!!" hahahahaha... Needless to say, they didn't like me too much.

Just kidding NYC K5, the shot was there so I had to take it. I'll keep your offer in mind this summer.

I'm in Ohio and might be interested in travelling somewhere to run some new trails. Any place in New York state is a pretty long drive, though.....
