    Hmmm posted this in The Garage, and only two responses. Will I get more here?

    WHO HAS DONE THIS?

    Currently I have Th350/203.
    I got a complete sm465/203 waiting for doubler, and a 205 from behind a TH400. 465 bell, mechanical linkage and pedals.

    So I say, I want HYDRO for no binding issues.
    Find a 465hydro with slave. So I ordered the line, and the master cylinder.

    Can I fab a way for the Master Cylinder to utilize the existing mechanical pedals?

    Or should I hold out and buy the Hydro pedal assembly?

    the mechacanical pedals should work...altho i have not seen or tryied converting one so i am hoping GM dident do another stupid make 1000 diff parts for the same style truck thing..but my guess would be all you have to do is take all the linkage out and put in the slave and the push rod and your set

    That's what I would think, but I suspect the parts inside the firewall are different.

    Is yours a manual? Can you send me pics of your firewall hydro clutch setup?

    TIA

    Well, damn, it looks like
    part # 31 from this diagram

    http://community.webshots.com/photo/13180252/13180415rxtyvTaDUP

    Is no longer available...

    So I will have to fabricate the bracket for this. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

    28 = $28.60 ( not ordered)
    29 = local hardware store
    30 = $16.00 (ordered)
    10 and 11 are listed as "washers" not the rod.
    I ordered them anyways = $3.00
    GM guy said, the rod is part of the master cylinder = $120.00

    So back to fabricating some stuff...
