Thanks for asking... We did end up buying it, I paid $5000 all said and done, and the guy pretty much bent over backwarsd and forwards twice to make it happen. It's a '99 Pontiac Montana, I had a buddy who owns a shop check it out for me before buying, and he said he'd do it, so I went with it. We saved about $3000 on it, (I've been scouring classifieds and dealer ads since we bought it) :thumb:.

So far, there's been absolutely nothing wrong with it except this weird thump from the front wheel area that noone can figure out. I rotated the tires, changed the pads and the rotor on the side it was coming from. Two A-tech buddies checked it out and both think it's safe to ignore, so I have been, but still want to figure it out. Wheel bearing, brakes, and tire are ruled out, so there's not much left. The axles are surprisingly clean and stout, too. I want to figure it out before we drive down to florida in may, 18 hours of thumping might make me a little loopy...

And who knew a remote controlled sliding door could be so convenient??

My wife has been checking the forums occasionally, this thread must've been marked "read" when she logged in and then I never saw it when I checked from work...

    Ratch, ratch, ratch.

That name stuck in my head, every time I pick up the ratchet the first thing that pops into my brain is New York.

I'm in Destin / Ft. Walton Beach area - about two hours west of Tallahassee. :deal: Haven't seen too many New Yorkers here - mostly Wisconsin and Canada. Oh yeah - can't leave out Alabama!!
