Help....a good friend just committed SUV suicide and bought a Suzuki Grand Vitara.

I need to give him major s$$t so if anyone has a good nickname for this vehicle, please post it! He had a Chevy 4X4 pickup but got rid of it without telling me, I wanted it!

So I says to him, I said, "get your own monkey."

Well....I think the "original" Suzuki Samurai's were known as the Suzuki Somersaults....ever since Consumer Reports tested one in their now-famous article....SO:

How about calling this latest one: The Suzuki Grand Somersault? [IMG]

Or recorded the national news last night and show him the story on the SUV backing at 5 mph into a post story. The unGrand Viagra did the worst and got me to thinking. The spare tire rack went into the post first, and collapsed the tailgate and glass everywhere.

    BRBoudreaux-
I saw that report on the CNN web site. The Grand Vitara and whatever SUV is directly related to the Aztec both suffered over $5,000 in damage in that 5 mph rear collision test. Unbelievable.

    E101,

You know speaking of things that really piss people off....whenever I see someone driving around in one of those BMW Z3's (especially the "M"-Series)....I am always tempted to say something like:

ME: "Man, that is a beautiful car!!"

    THEM: "Thanks...(smugly)"

ME: "I really DO like the look of these new Miatas!!"

.....That usually puts an end to the conversation! [IMG]

I almost lost it when he told me it had "liquid filled motor mounts."

What the hell is that......give me polyurethane or give me death!

I told him it is a sorority truck and he did admit he will not plan to take it off road. I can not wait to get back to Texas and play "follow the leader" with him and take him across all sorts of crazy rocks and holes.
