So I buy this T-maxx from one of my buddies this week. He broke the hell out of it by running it into a tire at full blast, so needless to say I gotta bitchin deal on it. Well I bought all the parts needed to fix it and now I cant get the damn thing to run right. Its slow as hell compared to my buddies Savage, and its super hard to start, and it wont idle for crap, it surges really bad and will stall. Ive tried leaning it out, richening it up, adjusting the idle up and down and nothing helps. This is my first Nitro r/c car and I dont know wtf to do, I swear im about to throw the damn thing away cause it wont run.

Sounds like you have a air leak, you need to make sure you put some rtv around the backing plate of the engine or between the pull starter and the crankcase. Also put some around where the carb slides down into the crankcase. Then set it back to factory settings for idle screws and adjust from there.
