The whole point of camping in a tent is so when you are so completely hammered that you cant walk you crawl into your ground level tent and fall into a pile and go asleep...with your boots on. Only at this point will you be one with nature. Now you are going to trip stepping up into that thing and bust your grille on the linoleum floor. Instead of waking up with simply a hangover, now you will have a hangover and missing teef.

thats exactly the kind of pop-up tent trailer thingy I'd like to get. I love camping, but my wife needs an air matress to sleep... and they don't give my back enough support so I can't sleep on one. A trailer with a normal matress would be the best compromise. Little safer than just a tent too. I don't want a giant ass 5th wheel or anything... it'd be good to be able to tow the thing with a v6-equipped SUV or something.

anyway, looks good... get a bunch of pics of it popped up and the inside. They make trailers like that that have showers in them? Wife won't go to any camp site that doesn't have one...

Nice score!! We've been looking for one for a while now, too. There's a 1990 Rockwood on Craigslist in Jersey for around 1k, too.

One with nature - Tent to keep nature out, sleeping bag to further hide from nature, air mattress so you can get off of nature, heater (maybe). The popup looks like the same thing, just with air, more comfortable and you dont have to set up/ break down camp.

    Nice score. :waytogo:

Neither a tent nor that trailer are as hardcore as passing out next to the camp fire in a folding chair, and having your friends leave you there for the night...

There aren't many, I'd say there have been maybe 10 priced under $1500 posted on the NYC site in the last 4 months.

Not the one I was thinking of (which might be expired now, or I may have just confused the details with an expired one), but here's a 1992:

This guy will trade for a Cello... Maybe I'll offer him an electric guitar instead...
I'd actually jump on it if he were closer to me. [thinking] Maybe I'll ride over there tomorrow on the bike, that would be fun... I could get some seafoam, too.
I even may have an AC unit to mount on whatever I get.[/thinking]

    This one's much older:

Yours looks like a sweet deal, though.

I stopped drinking that much when camping after me and a buddy woke up in the dirt around the fire with rib bones scattered everywhere in N. CO bear country.

Lesson learned: don't try and cook ribs over a campfire at 10K feet, especially after a bottle of vodka.

That is a really nice pop-up by the way, rarely see them for that cheap up here.
