    I have been searching and searching-so i thought id ask!
    I was pulling into work today and as i turn into the spot it just died. Then absolutely nothing! I have power to lights and etc. but i get nothing when i turn the ignition- no stereo -nada. Igniton switch? Hep me Hep me Please!! Oh yeah its a '79 auto/350.

    Maybe the little wire that goes to the small terminal on the solenoid came loose/broke off.

    This happened to a friend of mine on an escort. Same thing though headlights work but nothing else and it ended up being a main fuse or a fuseable link

    Thats what happened when I first put my headers on, burned right through the wire. Now got them tucked nicely out of the way /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

    I went back up to work tonight to check it out and i didnt have a flashlight(my 4 yr old lost it working on HIS TRUCK-he says)anyways when i was underneath i touched one of the solenoid wires and spark spark-AAAAHHH!! I think the wire touched an exhaust pipe and melted. I hope thats it. Would that screw anything else up? Thanks for the replies.
