Is your check engine light on? One of your injectors may be clogged or has died.(just a shot in the dark)

Have you changed you fuel filter, air filter and PCV valve lately or recently?

    Check your fuel filter 1st.
That '88 should have a fuel pump in the tank, right? disconnect your fuel line from the intake and run a pressure test on it. If it's going out, that'll be the first sign.

    Thomas.

BTW: TURN THAT CAP'S LOCK OFF ..... please? [IMG]

I think that it is a clogged injector. My S-10 Blazer had the same problem for a while. I took out the injectors and put new filters on them and cleaned them up. It worked fine after that.

I would check the obvious things first, fuel filter, air cleaner etc. It could also be your distributor advance malfunctioning. My fuel pump didn't give me any warning before it croaked, but I guess that could be it also. Good luck.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is.[IMG]
