As detailed in my other posts, I have no rear shocks until I can weld on new mounts. Has anyone ran their K5 without rear shocks????

How can I expect the truck to handle???
    Can I expect any problems???

On big rigs with spring suspenion they don't have rear shocks. You bounce alot empty. But it's not to bad with a load on. Shouldn't be to bad hooked up to that big boat of yours.

    It sucks.

I had all new shocks put on my K5 this spring, and it made a world of difference for me. Both my rear shocks were non-existant, and the ride was terrible.

Don't go fast, and don't plan on braking on rough pavement.

Bah...its not so bad. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif When I did my 14b swap I drove around for a week or sowith no shocks till I got around to rewelding the mounts. It's just alittle bouncy. Not stiffer at all....Just softer with no shocks to dampen the springs movements. You'll be fine dude. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I agree not stiffer or anything... just will take longer to settle after you hit a bump. Kind of like riding on a balloon or somehting. My old Jeep, I drive with no shocks at all for about 2 years.

When I got my K10 it had worn out overload shocks on the back. One time I hit the RR tracks and ended up in the other lane. It probably wont be as bad in a blazer with more weight on the rear. Just slow down for big bumps.

I bought my truck without shocks on all 4 corners. I hit a speed bump near my house and ended up looking like grave digger at a monster truck jam. Be carefull!
