Getting a pretty distinct "clunk" from the front end when turning. I just got done adjusting the drag link (yes its tight) and it appeared to be fine. just had an alignment as well, and they didn't mention anything. Not that that means anything really.

Although the truck is noisy anyway, when hitting a bump even straight on (speedbump for example) it sounds like the noise happens then too. I've checked a few thihngs so far, axle u-bolts, motor mounts, etc., but haven't checked ball joints, etc. Bushings for sway bar are fine.

It may be happening even when sitting turning the wheel as well, haven't had time to check that yet. Frame isn't cracked.

Any ideas on what to look for? Steering isn't real "tight" but I chalk that up to the 16:1 steering box, although maybe it should have a little better "feel"...

sounds like a ball joint problem...mine was making the same noise...jack up the front and try to wiggle the wheel and look at where the nuckle conects to the axle...if you have any movement its time to change it.....mine moved about 1/4 inch now it is solid

    Dorian,

While you're under there, take a look at the springs. Mine snapped a lot before getting them reworked. Then a lot more aftrwards. You know that one is fixed and the other pivots (on stock application) Same symptoms ...
