Looks like the pot is sweet enough to head out East (Pittsburgh, PA). The opportunity is just too good to give up. I was really on the fence when I knew an offer was coming in, but it did exceed my expectations. Looks like I will have a new job in a few weeks!! :eek1:

I am planning on spending 3-5 years there and then transferring back to San Diego where this whole book started about 7 years ago.

Lead Operations Engineer/Manager for a High Tech Startup. We somehow have to get an emerging technology product out of engineering and into production by June of this year... :doah:

Will undoubtedly be the biggest challenges of my career to date. We are gonna keep our home in UT and buy a place in PA. I wasn't willing to give up our 'footprint' in the West just yet!

Good luck.. missionary work is fun, and enterpreneurialism gives our country hope..

is it software, or some type of capital equipment you have? who can use it? Not looking for any proprietary info, just curious.. do you guys need any sales staff? my brother is a headhunter for tech companies who need guys that can get products to market.. pm me if needed..

being involved in building a company with an emerging technology myself, I have an appreciation for what the guys who had to sell the first radial tire, cell phone, windows operating sytem, etc. had to go through.. everyone takes for granted that these things just showed up one day, and were embraced by everyone right off the bat..

I knew a guy who was one of the first microsoft windows sales reps for commercial & gov't accounts in the pacific northwest.

if he had a nickel for everyone who said "who needs windows when we have DOS? things are fine the way they are, get lost".. he'd be a rich man today..

did you know that samuel morse had to plead before ten congresses before the gov't would look at his telegraph machine, or that the first sewing machine was smashed to bits by a boston mob? it's true, you could look it up.

anyway, congrats on the job, good luck, and keep us posted..

    Tom
