You know, I think there are 4 k5s in the entire city on Duluth, MN. One of them is mine. It happens to be the rustyest one, too. There is almost never one for sale anywhere in the area, last one I saw--"89 K5 Blazer Fullsize Mint cond, $9988"!! Nobody even knows what they are! People say, what do you drive? And I say, "Chevy K5 Blazer," They assume it's an S10, b/c they've never heard of a full size one before!! My parents bought the one I have now, an 87 with a bad engine, about 8 years ago for $9K. I need a new truck, and I love my K5, but I can't afford to get one! I think I will cry...
Sorry for the long post, but I needed to have a little tirade...
You guys are lucky in your big citys.

Don't feel bad, brother. I own one of 6 or 8 Blazers in town[IMG]. Only one other guy is actually worth talking to about K5s- the others just happen to drive them and don't really care. I told one guy about CK5 and he looked at me like I was some sort of wierdo for actually spending tiime on the computer talking about trucks!!!! I can't wait for the day I pass him broken down on one of the local roads.........Can you say "Told ya so!!!!!"????[IMG]

I know, I know, but school starts in 2 days, I'm only 17, AND my family is building a new home this fall. I have spent much time looking in this section (not for a while, I'll check it out again). In fact, look at the 79 Jimmy fs in St. Paul, MN. I was very intersted in this one, but couldn't convince my dad to drive 2.5 hrs to look at a 22 yr old truck w/rust. Besides, I don't have a garage to keep a truck in while I work on it, liek I would do to that one. Check it out, though, jt seemed like a good deal to me--he's got a ton of stuff he's selling wth it, not nearly aall of it is in his post. Most Likely I will end up driving a CHEEP F150 this winter until I can afford my REAL truck. *sob*
PS- I missed an AWESOME deal on a 83 K20 with a NEW 350--I waited too long. It was a nice *sob* truck *sob*...
    Thanx guys

Thats funny, on my way to pick up my son tonight (3 blocks from daycare) I noticed 6 Blazers (3 lifted), parked on the street, they are every where out here.

Same with the entire state of Arizona - pretty much anywhere you go, there's one in the parking lot.

You've got our sympathy, that's for sure. That crap SALT they use back east/up north kills old trucks. When I lived in PA for three years I had the ONLY Blazer in my area that was older than 1990. Here in Oregon all you see are nice old trucks with lifts.......heck, mine is just an average nice truck here ('cept not many have one ton axles and TPI motors, but that's my little secret). No salt here..............

Up here they look at you funny if you are driving an s10 blazer... kinda of like a waste of time to me. That is my opinion and I hope I didn't offend any one who happens to think the sun rises and sets on a glorified subaru. [IMG]

When there is three feet of snow on the road I take great satisfaction in being able to drive anywhere I want when most people are stuck in their driveways. Clearance and power is what it's all about baby!!
